Human Life And Its Importance

It is hard to carry on the family and social traditions when we are away from the our homeland but under the banner of shri krishna pranami association , it is a bit easier to continue and follow the part of The Master Mahamati Prannath. He gave a wonderful and great philosophy to the world. We would be loser if we do not take care of this asset given to us.

We always have a hard time when somebody asks us about Mahamati Prannath and his philosophy. This is we try to give small effort towards getting closer to the great treasure of the lord.

In this few pages, we are able to deal with a few points only. The purpose is to make it a habit to sit with like-minded friends, at least once a month and bring out few gems from Shri Prannath's Vani, go deeper into it and follow as much as we can. I have started the process and if you feel it useful for you, please continue and get closeer to mahamati Prananth , the superme wisdom.
I will request you all to please start each session with two minutes silence - breathing deep - say nijname(pray to god).somebody from you should explain the meaning of the mantra(pray). Then select one or teo verses, from Gems of Mahamati (Kuljamswarop). Try to undestand the inner meaning. Throughtout the month we should have to this practice alone at home.
I know that everybody is busy but a few minutes to yourself gives strenght to face the ordeals of life.

With salutations to Mhamati,

A human being is the best form of creation of the lord. A soul assumes a human form after millions and millions of lives in various speciala-in plant and animal kingdom. One graduates from one life to another till the lord, in His grace, feels that a particular soul is ready to be blessed to be sent to this earth as a man/woman. One has, therfore, to recognize the importance of this human life.

You have come to this human form after passing through 8.4 million lives and after a great struggle and suffering in those various lives.

Having underscored the value and inportance of this human life, one most undestand as to what is to be done while one is possessed of this human form. Of course, one must realize that the lord has given us this precious gift on lease for a term which he alone knows. Someone may live for a few years while some may even score a century. But the term of this lease is known to him alone. We have no discretion. One fine morning, we may find that the lord has terminated the lease and our journey of life has come to an end. There is no appeal against his judgment and we have to quietly submit to his will and pick up and go - whether we like it or not. We may have the most important work of our life to be performed but he may not give us a few extra seconds to complete that task.

You can not hope to get an extra second in life even if you were to give million of gold coins in retune. One can not evaluate the value of a lost moment.
Also please undestand that this death spares no one. NO One - how -so -ever great he may be, can escape the clutches od death.

This death does not spare anyone. Even the mightiest of kings and emperors. who had conquered the whole, world, even angels like indra, could not escape from its clutches.

All that is said above sums up to the fact that we have a very limited and uncertain stay on this earth. We have absolutely no business to waste even a fraction of a minute of our life in unless pursuits. We have recognize the goal for which this human form is provided to us and we have to work consistently to achieve this gosl. we have in this life, which is perishable , the opportunity to make substantial spiritual progress.

KNOW THYSELF
in the last issue, we dealt with the question of importance of human life, which we have attained after countless births in various species. We will now deal with this subject, WHO AM I?
Mahamathi prannath says, know thyself first. without knowing one self, how can one claim that he knows the supreme lord?
Know thyself, this is one of first lessons that spiritual seekers receive when they startout of this path. All our spiritual leders, the Koran, the Bible and scriptures, stress the importance of knowing oneself. They say that we can not have"God-Realization"without Self Realizatio. Once persons knows himself, then all other knowledge is easy. But what exactly do we mean by knowing oneself?
When we try to analyze the situation, we find that we know ourselve the least. We are always engaged in knowing others, spending months and years studying external object, trying to know more and more people and more about them. Even regarding ourselve, we spend several hours each day improving our body's external appearance. But how often do we look at the real I? we do not want to look inside ourselves - at our internal faults and blemishes. We do not want to face ourselves. So we spend all our time looking for faults in others, analyzing their actions, words, and emotions.
But how can we achieve this? How can we rise above the filthy mess that we have made of our lives?Who will show us the right path? Who will lead us to true happiness? The saints and sages of the part, the rishis of Vedas, and morden seekersof the god have recognized this dilemma that we face. They have said thatits our spiritual power that gives us life, that give us capacity to think. Without this spark of consciousness, we are just a lifeless collection of five elements. In ourpursuit of nonessential things, we have forgotten the essential. The essential is what the sages and rishis call our self, our true nautre, our soul. They urgeus to undestand our nature, to nurture our spiritual power, and to awaken our consciousness. Mahamati Prananth said that the soul is all powerful and can accompish anything because she is a spark of god. She has all his attributes, she is limitless, all powerful, and never ending. Compared to this Mayawhich is just an illusiory power. Because of the illusion of Maya, we fail to recognise the truth. We have to remove the straw before ours eyes to see the grandeur of the mountain, - the supreme parmatma(God). Once we do this, we'll see hte immense power and limitless capabilities ot our soul. And since this life force is same in all living being, we will realize our oneness with all things in the universe;man, animal, or plant. The one sure way to remove all differences of caste, creed, race, and religion is to recognise the one supreme power in all of us. By this realization, we will become a part of the supreme consciousness. Our petty problems and day to day miseries and worries will not get us down.
Then later on, we'll search for our original home. How will we find it?As long as the soul does not find its true abode, it wanders aimlessly in this world.
In Kuljamswarup Shri Prananth tells us about our true home, our real abode. We forget that we are in the world for only a very short time. Compared with the billion of years that the universe has been in existence, our lifespan of 70-80 years in but a drop in the ocean. And when we think of the limitless God, who pervades all and supersedes time , how temporary is our home here? But unfortunately we spend all our time trying to build our home here, beautify it, worry about losing it, and fight over it. The questions we should be asking are;"which is our true home? Where did we come from? Where do we go when we die?"
In meditatio, yogis sometimes come across the formless entity(Nirankar Brahma) and think that to be their final destination. Here they experience lasting peacebut not eternal bliss. Our final distination is to merge with Sachidanand Pramatma(God), the home of eternal truth, consciouseness and bliss. Until we do that, we will be wandering aimlessly from place to place, from birth to re-birth.
HOW TO MAKE THE BEST USE OF THIS LIFE Continues............
